On the plus side, yes, it's Gilgamesh, one of the more popular recurring characters in the Final Fantasy series, for die-hards, especially. On the down side, it's the version only a relative handful of fans are aware of. Even though he only showed up here and there and didn't really contribute to the overall story, I loved Final Fantasy IX's design of 'Ol Gilly. That, and he didn't like giving up his name too easily--there was Alleyway Jack, The Four-Armed Man, and if you were good enough at finding treasure, he'd let slip with his real name.

Not too much to be said about the sculpt--even though he's kinda older, I'm still pretty happy with how he turned out. The reference picture was from the old "The Art of Final Fantasy IX" book that BradyGames came out with around the time of the game and their half-useless strategy guide. And yeah, the background is from the same series as the one I used in "Drink Up Me Heartless, Yo Ho" [link] but what can I say, it's a great set and works amazingly well for both, especially in this instance, as a representation of the dark city Treno (can't remember if he was in Treno, but hey).

So naturally, this one's for the Final Fantasy IX luvas...I so wish they'd port that for my PSP...
