Traditional Art / Sculpture / Fantasy

Got a few requests for a fuller picture of this guy: [link] so I figured it was about time I obliged. So today, his time has come. It's Cyan from Final Fantasy VI, as described in the above deviation, so not much more needs be said about him.

It was tough to come up with something for this piece visually, but I'm reasonably happy with it overall...it has a warm, fuzzy feeling about it

I love this sculpture of him and the calm look on him seems quite serene...
It's like after Kefka has been defeated and the World recovered from it's ruin.

Thanks very much! It was made from a piece of Amano art where he's laying down, but looking at it as you've just described kind of puts a new twist on an old sculpture. I'll keep that in mind next time I pass him by upstairs. Great way to look at it.

But yeah, that whole dream sequence is a bummer, even if it is thrown into the weird grinder with the inclusion of the Three Dream Stooges. I'm quite eager to go through VI again, just one reason being to take a closer look at Cyan in a way I might not have when I was younger.

The first time I've witnessed VI was when my mom's ex played it.
I was too young to understand that much,
so now that I get to play it and see it's story for myself,
I see much more too each individual character...
[I don't dislike Celes as much as i did back then, xD;;]

I think it's nice to experience old things like that again.

Yes it is. Some things don't age well and you kind of wish you didn't revisit and just left to childhood, but FFVI is definitely not one of them.
